allauallthetimeSo this started out as "my image of an Elibe anime that will never get made but I can pretend" and now it's shaping up to be an Elibe AU I wouldn't mind writing sometime.
-Helene learns Desmond sent the assassins after Zephiel and confronts him, Desmond refuses to show contrition for his actions. Desmond is later killed by Vaida before she flies off to join Eliwood's army.
-Erik follows his father to Valor to try to talk some sense into him, but ultimately fails. By the time he's able to actually speak to Darin, Darin is too far gone to even remember he has a son. Erik charges at Ephidel in a rage only to be incapacitated by Ephidel's magic. This leads to the army lugging him back to Valor with them, and he awakens after the battle with Oleg. This kickstarts an arc for him, which includes an apology to Priscilla for Darin's behavior towards her and his conflicted desire to be Eliwood's friend versus his jealousy of him.
-Erik does not do his gloating laugh as he tells Eliwood what the Black Fang is like, instead his words are tinged with unhinged mad laughter that sounds dangerously close to breaking down.
-Lyn's story is the five-part prologue, but threads of the main story are sprinkled throughout. Hector actually has a conversation with Serra.
-Eliwood/Ninian is canon, other couples besides the established ones (Harken/Isadora, Bartre/Karla, Pent/Louise) are left up in the air (Edit: Though obviously if this is going to be a fic I will want to make a list of Official Couples.)
-Hector and Eliwood's stories are merged: the story begins with Eliwood leaving Pherae, but Farina and Karla show up and so does chapter 19xx. The Ostia subplot with Uther's death is also present.
-Harken, Karel, Geitz, and Wallace all show up. Linus's map is canon but has the fog of Lloyd's map, while Jerme is the boss of Kenneth's map after killing him so he can be the one to murder Eliwood and friends.
-Nino kills Sonia at the water temple, overcome with shock when the body does not bleed and she pieces together just what her mother really was.
-When Nergal taunts Eliwood about how Hector missed his brother's last moments because of him, he goes on for so long that Eliwood manages to catch him off guard with a stab to the gut. He then says that it's because he knows how much Hector and others have suffered for him that he won't give in and lose, and promptly finishes Nergal off with a boost from Nils and Thor's Ire. No one says it, but it's an obvious defiance of the "talking is a free action" trope - Eliwood was able to get in the blow he did because Nergal was too in love with the sound of his own voice.
-The war in FE6 is started by Desmond loyalists

-Murdock and Vaida took Zephiel into hiding when the war started, but all three end up dead despite Roy and company's efforts to save them
