I recently wrote down some notes for an AU idea I wrote back down in January. This is a Kamen Rider Gotchard AU that uses the mana/energy/power restoration system from a R18 BL Manga called Dear Sister, I've Become A Blessed Maiden. Thought it would be fun to also share these notes here!

If you wanna hear a bit about the manga for additional context, I talked about it in a post some time ago on my journal here. Since the original source material for the idea of this AU is R18, this AU is R18 in nature even though there is no explicitly written out contents in the notes below.

While this uses the system from the manga, it also has my own ideas added into it. Note that said manga is still ongoing as of writing this, so new details of this system could appear in said manga in the future! Also this will be far from my only version of these notes as I get more ideas and flesh + figure things out.

General Notes:

Blessed maidens are made by preforming a ceremony that requires a lot of materials, so they are seen typically paired with high ranking Alchemists for this reason
It's a big deal when an alchemist has one because of that fact
Alchemists can also be blessed maidens alongside common folk
Blessed maidens have a symbol on them that let's someone know they are one (idk what it looks like yet, maybe the alchemist union symbol?)
Some are naturally born with this power too though (A concept that is not in the OG manga (at least right as of writing. Manga is still ongoing)
Alchemists can have more than one blessed maiden in their life, even at the same time
Sex isn't required for mana transfer, kissing, cuddling, even holding hands can do it
An Alchemist can have a contract with a Blessed Maiden, and they usually do (Alchemist Society and all) But it is not uncommon for Blessed Maidens to be on their own/not held to just one alchemist at a time
Blessed Maidens can also have more than one contract at a time if they want

How It Works:

It is similar to how it is in the original manga "Dear Sister, I've become a blessed maiden": A blessed maiden is overflowing with mana/energy and the only way for it to get out is through contact with an alchemist
Sometimes there can be too much inside a blessed maiden, and it puts them in a heat-like state (that's how it is for the protag of the manga anyways. No idea if this carries to other blessed maidens since that hasn't been explained yet)
When this happens normal (sexual) contact cannot form relief, only (sexual) contact with an alchemist can achieve this
Once the transfer is done, the alchemist feels revitalized and the blessed maiden has relief

Worldbuilding Notes:

Blessed maidens are a concept that have existed since not long before the chemies were formed. It's thought that the Abyssalis Kings are the first to have created this method of energy transfer, back when each of them still had their humanity.
It slowly spread among the higher ranks of alchemist society before lower ranked alchemists learned about it and tried to replicate the process on their own. Which is difficult due to the materials needed. (Still figuring out what said materials are)
It is especially a big deal if someone is born with those powers. "Natural born" blessed maidens began appearing a couple decades after blessed maidens began to become a part of alchemist society. It is unknown how they came about but some think it might have been passed down through bloodlines as only one theory of many.
